The end of Campaign

By Sir Andrew Likierman

£100 million within 5 years. That’s been the Campaign message since we set out on the Campaign journey in the autumn of 2013. Could it really be done? Nobody was sure. And here we are, at half time (we didn’t say when in 2018) with £125 million pledged. It will mean we are on the way to funding the Sammy Ofer Centre, paying for our lease to give us security of tenure in Sussex Place, providing scholarships, and funding research and faculty chairs. What a terrific achievement for the Community as a whole because, make no mistake, this has been a joint effort by alumni, current students, faculty and staff. I’m immensely grateful to everyone who’s been involved because, in common with non-US bodies, fundraising has been a real challenge. We have shown we can do it and that’s given all of us huge confidence in our ability to keep ourselves among the world’s best schools. Do join me in bursting with pride.
