Hello and welcome back! It’s great to see old faces returning and indeed new ones arriving at the School after a particularly warm British summer. I hope everyone has had the chance to enjoy a break, to relax and refresh.

My wife Sondra, our son Benoît and I visited our house in the South-West of France, where we enjoyed a relaxing time with our family. We took advantage of being situated on the Lot River for canoeing and also got the adrenaline going at a local go-karting circuit.

We then spent some time in the Pyrénées, where a combination of a snowy winter with the sunny summer made for perfect hiking; our highlights included climbing the Casque and the Vignemale peaks.

We are now back in London and are excited to welcome our daughter Chloé, who joins us in the UK after internships in Colorado and Puerto Rico. We will be visiting Cornwall and Dorset with Chloé over the upcoming weekends for some hiking and dinghy sailing.

In the meantime it feels great to be back on campus.
