An exciting agenda for the new academic year

By Sir Andrew Likierman

There is an exciting agenda for the new academic year. This will be the first year of the new Masters in Financial Analysis and we have already welcomed the first class. In teaching and learning across degree programmes and executive education this will be an important period in making full use of our digital learning capability and using our new Canvas learning management system. A number of enhancements of the MBA and Sloan programmes will follow the completion of their reviews.

There are anniversaries – 50 years of Executive Education and 10 years in Dubai. Executive Education is also using the year as one of experimentation. Advancement colleagues are moving swiftly from celebrating the success of Campaign 1 to planning and laying the foundations of Campaign 2 which starts in 2018-9.

Of course, the most visible changes are the move of many Degree Programme staff into new offices in Huntsworth Mews and the transition of Sammy Ofer Centre from building site to part of the School.

On top of this, there are all the things we are doing to make the place – and the world! - better in so many ways. Oh, and will not be dull.
