Check out our new travel emergency service provider and updated travel policy

INtrinsic is a travel emergency service provider for staff, faculty and student/participant travellers. It provides a full range of services including:

  • pre-travel planning and training
  • full journey management services - 24/7 tracking, monitoring, intelligence and travel risk management service
  • medical and security emergency assistance via a smartphone app called ‘Solace Secure’.

Although the service is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.

Intrinsic will automatically contact a traveller once an E Ticket has been generated by Key Travel (the School’s mandatory travel provider). Travellers will be asked to register and download the Solace Secure smartphone app giving them easy access to medical and security assistance and other useful information including live safety alerts whilst travelling. 

In the event of needing help when travelling staff, faculty and students/participants have access to medical and security assistance 24/7, to access this service travellers can also call +44 1243 621157 or the red phone button on the Solace Secure app.

The smartphone app is available to download for free in the Apple ITunes, Google Play Android and Windows Mobile Phone App stores.

The School’s Travel Policy has been updated and further information about the traveller assistance service, Solace Secure app and a link to the Travel Safe eLearning course is available on Portal.
