Tattoo: restricted access to main campus from 5-9 March

Tattoo 2020 – a festive evening showcasing our diversity – is due to take place on Sussex Place campus on Saturday 7 March. With 1,100 students attending, the event has major logistical implications for the whole of the campus.

Set up begins on 5 March, the campus will be closed to non-ticket holders from 15:00 on Saturday 7 March and dismantling will be complete at the end of 9 March. See below for full details.

The Sammy Ofer Centre will operate as normal during the Tattoo weekend.

Marquee installations on campus
Construction and dismantling of the marquees will take place on the front lawn and lower quad areas on the following days:

  • Thursday 5 March, 07:30 - 18:00
  • Friday 6 March, 08:00 - 15:00
  • Monday 9 March, 08:00 - 18:00
Safety barriers will surround the Lower Quad and a portion of the Front Lawn as the company bring the necessary metalwork and materials onto campus. A number of contractors will be on site and a forklift truck will be used to move materials from the car park loading bay area to the Lower Quad. Please observe all safety barriers and signs and do not enter areas cordoned off with safety tape.
