Photography takes centre stage at LBS

Celebrate the power of the lens to confront and inspire at the opening night of the 2019 LBS Photography Awards exhibition on Wednesday 8 May.

Join influential leaders from business and the arts as they discuss the power of photography to shape business practices and encourage positive social change, before viewing this year’s eight shortlisted award entries at a special drinks reception.

The LBS Photography Awards celebrate photography that explores how business affects people’s lives, communities and the environment. The Awards aim to use visual storytelling to strengthen and influence the urgent conversations that are currently taking place on topics of global significance. Photojournalism plays a key role in encouraging, strengthening and influencing the narrative around these topics.

The winner of the 2019 LBS Photography Awards will be announced on the night.  An outline of the evening is below:

The LBS Photography Awards Exhibition will run between Thursday 9 May and Sunday 12 May. This year’s event will explore the intersection of business, society and the environment. The photographic exhibition 'When Worlds Collide' celebrates the outstanding entries shortlisted in this year's competition. Together, they highlight the power of business innovation to join previously disconnected ideas.

Entry is free, however all visitors must pre-register to attend. This event is supported by the Wheeler Institute for Business and Development and the LBS Photography Club.
