Out in Business staff and faculty event
The Out in Business (OiB) club represents the School’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. It is one of the School’s strongest and most active clubs, providing an invaluable professional, social and support network for LGBT+ students, alumni, faculty and staff.
OiB welcomes people of all identities and genders who support their aims and is reaching out to the whole School community to mobilise support with an event at 17.45 on Monday 17 October.
Alberto Padilla (Co-president of OiB) and Peter Johnson (OiB staff sponsor) will showcase OiB’s plans for the year, encouraging staff and faculty involvement in the club and promoting the upcoming EurOUT conference. The event will be followed at 18.30 by networking drinks in the R1 Lounge with some of the OiB students.
EurOUT, one of the School’s most successful conferences, will take place this year on 18-20 November. The theme is “The European LGBT Leaders Conference: Using Your Authenticity”. At the conference McKinsey’s Vivian Hunt will launch their first LGBT Leadership Award.
EurOUT now has more than 10 corporate sponsors; students from 11 leading universities and more than 25 companies are attending. There is an amazing line-up of speakers including the Prime Minister of Luxembourg and the MD of VISA UK.
