New campus access cards: photos and collection
We are in the process of issuing new smartcards for access to campus buildings and cards will be made available to students from next week and throughout May.
Adding a photo to your card
To add a suitable photo to your card, use photo self-service at My Portal /Update my Details/General Details. In the photo section, upload your photo, crop and save as appropriate. Please use Chrome to access Portal.
If you can't upload a suitable photo then the Security team will take a photo and print your card during your collection slot.
Collecting your card
Security will be issuing new access cards on Mondays in Plowden room P115 and Tuesdays in A Wing room AG06_7. Please use the following links to book your time slot, and then collect your card at that time.
Please attend one of these sessions- if this is not possible then you will need to visit the Plowden Security desk at a later date, but you may have to wait. Those not due on campus during May will have the opportunity to collect a card on their next visit.
Once you have your new card:
- To print on campus, you will need to register your card to your account on an MFD type printer. When asked for your PIN, enter your username @london.edu followed by your regular password.
- Your new card has both swipe access to the current swipe readers and proximity for when we have installed the touch-in type readers on campus in the coming months
- You will initially have to swipe your card for access in Taunton.
For further information, take a look at the access card FAQs or contact your programme office.
Thanks for your co-operation and apologies for any inconvenience.
