Launchpad 2020 - applications open

LBS Launchpad is a student led, start-up, pre-accelerator program which connects business minds with London’s entrepreneurial community to transform innovative ideas into viable businesses. Launchpad encompasses ten practical workshops delivered by industry experts such as BCG Digital Ventures, frog design and LBS faculty. Additionally, the program offers mentorship for each team from successful professionals across the LBS community.

LBS Launchpad is open to all – those in or outside the LBS community and is delivered on a part time basis enabling students, alumni and professionals to participate and bring an idea to life.

Applications for LBS Launchpad are now open and you can apply through: or here and will close January 21 2020.

In order to apply you will need a strong idea and an even stronger team to apply for a ticket on the launchpad rocket. A strong idea is defined by the team as one that solves a real-life problem in an innovative way. You can also follow the program or reach out to the team through Launchpad’s social media accounts: Linkedin, Twitter, and Instagram.

For those who are excited about starting a new venture but haven’t found a problem to solve, Launchpad offers an opportunity to take part as a collaborator by joining a team or as a mentor. Fill out this form if you would like to collaborate with or mentor a team.

Successful applicants have access to a series of networking events, practical workshops and mentorship from industry leading experts to develop a pitch that can be presented to potential investors, or used in order to successfully apply to an accelerator program. LBS Launchpad wraps up in May with an open-to-all pitch event hosted at the School where 10-15 finalists battle it out for a cash prize in front of leading investors and industry judges.

Several past participants of LBS Launchpad have gone on to start successful businesses such as Ocean Bottle; tackling plastic waste in the ocean, CULT MIA; reinventing fashion retail, Greenvest Solutions; optimizing the renewable energy grid and Stotles; rebuilding government procurement and more!
