Get ready for Digital Workplace
The Digital Workplace team is pleased to announce that from 25 September, Digital Workplace (Microsoft Office 365) will be available to all Staff and Faculty.
The apps being launched are OneDrive, OneNote, Microsoft Teams, Planner, To-Do and Office Online (Word, Excel, PowerPoint online). Whatever your role, there’s something on offer to help you work smarter.
Digital Workplace days

Register your place so you don’t miss out! You can also talk to one of our Digital Workplace Champions to find out which apps fit your use case. We’re also giving out free coffee cards and a chance to win one of three £50 Amazon vouchers!

Step aside H: drive
You don’t need to do anything right now, but on launch day, we’ll publish guidance on how to move files stored on your H drive into OneDrive. The H: drive will be available until 31 October, after which time it will become read only.
By moving your files to OneDrive, you will gain any device access to the files and folders you transfer. This means you can access those files on your mobile, web browser, or work computer. Click here to learn what OneDrive can offer you.
We will release a similar solution to replace the S: drive, called SharePoint, in the coming months. So please do not use OneDrive to store data held in your department’s S: drive.
Line managers, the introduction of OneDrive brings new responsibilities for you. Please read the ‘Office 365 Guidelines for Line Managers’ section in the Digital Workplace policies and guidelines ahead of launch to learn more.
