Fitness Centre upgrade – more alternative options for users

With just over one month to go until upgrade work begins, the Fitness Centre team and Nuffield Health are working together to provide the best possible set of alternative options for Fitness Centre users.

Fitness Centre Manager, Georgie Peachey explains:

“Our Fitness Centre will be closed for the upgrade work to take place from 15 July until the end October and we realise that, short term, this will have a big impact on our members.  We are in ongoing discussions with Nuffield Health about ways that we can minimise disruption and to give our users as many options as possible.

In response to user feedback,  Nuffield Health has made a couple of changes to expand the range of alternative options that will be available to LBS Fitness Centre users while the upgrade is on.

LBS Fitness centre members will have access to all Nuffield consumer clubs free of charge whilst the refurbishment is taking place apart from London City gym, Cannon Street. You’ll need to show an LBS ID card and Nuffield card to get access.

There has also been a lot of interest in the arrangements at Paddington and our number of passes has how increased to 20 rather than the original 10. Collection arrangement have also been streamlined to make them more user-friendly - cards will be collected from Taunton reception and, when finished, can be left at Paddington. We will then collect them from Paddington on an ad-hoc basis.

We feel that these options are good news and will help our members during the upgrade period. If you do have queries or concerns, please come and chat to a member of the Fitness Centre team.”
