Candid conversation with Cyrus Mistry, 18 January
The next Distinguished Speaker in our series at the Aditya Birla Centre will be Cyrus Mistry, one of our own notable alumni.
About the speaker
Cyrus Mistry was the sixth chairman of the Tata Group, India's largest business group, from 2012 until 2016 when he was ousted in a boardroom coup. In a candid conversation with Professor Nirmalya Kumar he will reflect on his experience and his learnings as well as take questions from the audience.
Before joining the Tata Group, Cyrus Mistry was the Managing Director of family firm, Shapoorji Pallonji group, where, along with his brother Shapoor Mistry, he grew the company's revenues from just $20 million to approximately $2.3 billion by March 2012. Shapoorji Pallonji today is over a $5 billion conglomerate with operations in over 50 countries globally.
This will be Mr Mistry's first appearance in Europe following his stint at Tata and we are fortunate at London Business School to host one of our own notable alumni.
