Calling all potential mentors

The Learning and Development team is currently recruiting from across the School for a new mentoring scheme that will launch in May for all employees.

Mentoring is a practical and engaging way to develop your skills as both a mentor and mentee. Mentors get a chance to develop listening, coaching and leadership skills while supporting mentees wishing to develop a variety of skills. These include anything from technical skills like Excel, to soft skills such as influencing and career development – including how to take the next steps in their career.

Everybody can be a mentor, regardless of level. All employees are encouraged to participate, regardless of experience – whether you’ve just started in your career or have more than 20 years of experience!

If you have a particular expertise then mentoring is a great opportunity to share your wisdom. Examples of popular skills include, but are in no way limited to:

  • Influencing
  • Time management
  • Event management
  • Customer service
  • Personal brand
  • Career development
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Presentation skills

If you are interested to become a mentor please fill in the application form and Learning & Development will contact you with the next steps.

If you would like to be the recipient of mentoring as a mentee, keep an eye out for further communications towards the end of the month!
