AI for Sustainable Development: In Conversation with Angel Gurría, Secretary-General OECD
Join the Wheeler Institute from 11:00 to 12:30 on Monday 9 September at the Royal College of Obstetricians, when Ángel Gurría, Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will discuss 'AI for Sustainable Development'.
The session will cover harnessing the potential of AI for productivity gains and scientific advances, preparing for job transformation and building skills, putting AI at the service of the environment and setting the course for human-centred AI.
Ángel Gurría has been the Secretary-General of the OECD since 2006. Under his leadership the OECD’s reach, impact and relevance has expanded in many policy areas, delivering on the OECD's mandate to design, develop and deliver better policies for better lives.
Dean François will introduce Mr Gurría at the event. Along with Rajesh Chandy, Professor of Marketing and Academic Co-Director of the Wheeler Institute for Business and Development, Mr Gurría’s talk will equip us with evidence-based solutions to a wide range of social, economic and entrepreneurial challenges and opportunities during the 4th Industrial Revolution.
