Two LBS professors elected as Fellows of Econometric SocietyBy Lauren French
Last month saw two London Business School Professors made Fellows of the Econometric Society.
Jean-Pierre Benoit and Lucrezia Reichlin, both Professors of Economics, were elected as Fellows on 8 November 2016. Fellows represent the highest authority of the Society and is the highest global honour that can be accorded to academics in economics and finance, aside from the Nobel Prize.
The Econometric Society is an international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics. Founded in 1930, the main activities of the Society include the publication of journals Econometrica, Quantitative Economics, and Theoretical Economics, the publication of research Monograph Series and the organisation of scientific meetings in six regions of the world.
