Meet Dennis Mwakulua - our new Head Chef
We're excited to welcome Dennis Mwakulua as Executive Head Chef at London Business School. We asked Dennis a few questions to get to know him better…
Where did you work before joining London Business School?
I was group chef for Compass Group at Eversheds. Eversheds is a global top 15 law practice, which provides legal advice and solutions to a global client base. I then joined the Lexy family in July 2018 and opened the catering facilities in the brand new Schroeder’s development in the city and was Executive Head Chef.
What do you enjoy most about working in hospitality?
Definitely the people, tasty food and the daily challenges of our industry.
What is your favourite comfort food?
Pork belly – I would cook it with tamarin and cardamom. That’s really good for me.
Who is your inspiration and why?
Two people have really inspired me. The first was a chef called Marcus who really inspired and helped train me in my early years in the kitchen. The second, who push me every day are the people around me - my team.
