Jacob Gage, Project Director of Strategic Initiatives & Analytics
Tell us about you
I have been working in Executive Education for 6 years and have just moved into a new role: Project Director of Strategic Initiatives & Analytics. Previously I was Head of the Exec Ed Systems, Analytics and more recently Resource Management teams.
What does your typical day at LBS look like?
Most days are different due to the project based nature of the role which provides me with the opportunities to work as part of a team or independently as well as allowing me to draw on my specialism; data analytics.
What does your job involves?
My role is focused on overseeing and tracking Executive Educations Big Ben 2020 Strategy alongside leading on some key cross departmental strategic initiatives such as the FT rankings.
What would you like to achieve during your time at LBS?
The new strategy for Executive Education is really exciting. Being part of the team responsible for its implementation and the resulting benefits for our participants, clients and School will be a key achievement.
What’s your best LBS moment so far?
Working across the School and with internal Executive Education stakeholders to implement and enhance our Learning Management Systems (Canvas) – a real team effort involving, EE, DECC, IT, Faculty and Digital Learning.
What keeps you motivated?
The variety of projects I can feed into alongside working with colleagues from across the School and within Executive Education.
Where is your favourite spot on campus?
Executive Meeting Room & Terrace (SOE401). Amazing space and views.
What’s top of your bucket list?
Watching Brentford FC being promoted to the Premier League would be up there. Winning the lottery may be more realistic.

I worked for ten years in hospitality which included running a night club before realising it was a “young man’s game”
