We’ve got the keys!
On Monday, the contractor Wates formally handed back possession of Sammy Ofer Centre to the School.
With building works complete, the School will spend the next few weeks fitting out the building ready to open the doors for teaching at the end of August.
Take a sneak preview of the building now – what an amazing transformation!
Staff and faculty will be gradually permitted access from mid-August, although some areas may remain out of bounds until teaching commences on 28 August.
What and who will be at SOC?
SOC is primarily a teaching and learning space. It is equipped with six new lecture theatres (LT14 – 19), a large number of study/group rooms, significant open study/social space and two ‘grab and go’ catering outlets (similar to Nash or the Bite). The library will also move here from its current location in Taunton (opening on 28 August).
New wayfinding documents
An updated London Campus Map now shows our three main student sites and there is a new detailed floorplan for SOC.
