Sustainability at LBS
As a School we take a broad approach to sustainability and are continuously working on
building and maintaining a healthy and sustainable campus community.
One of the main aims of the sustainability initiative is to get the community talking about sustainability – sharing ideas, celebrating success and raising awareness of the School’s overall commitments and agenda.
The School’s sustainability initiative is organised around six key focus areas with individual objectives:
Community objective – to impact the education and wellbeing of our local community through volunteering, and to foster a culture based in compassion and sharing
Education objective – to support the community with initiatives that promote sustainability in business
Energy and emissions objective – to reduce energy related carbon emissions by 7% year-on-year in order to achieve 43% absolution by 2020/2021
Health and wellbeing objective – to improve the physical, mental and financial wellbeing of the LBS community
Technology objective – to reduce the amount of photocopying and paper we print on by 20%
Waste and recycling objective – to increase our recycling rates to 65% across the School
