People Team FAQs - coronavirus update

We have updated the Staff FAQs from the People Team, in response to specific questions and questions from Slido, you can read them here.

The key updates are listed below in brief, please read the FAQs for the full details.

Focus sessions
People Managers will now have until the end of April to complete focus sessions for their team members.

Learning & Development training
L&D are currently reviewing what training can be delivered / continue to be delivered virtually. Where virtual delivery is not possible, planned learning events will be postponed. Look out for emails from L&D with updates to your specific training.

Health & Safety
As the School will have minimal staff occupying each site we are implementing a sign in/out procedure for staff who are based in certain buildings, please check the FAQs for specifics. Our security team will continue to do regular patrols of all sites, monitor the buildings remotely via CCTV and monitor and respond to fire alarms, panic and intruder alarms in the same way as if the building is fully occupied.
For general enquiries please contact the team on 0207 000 6888. For urgent enquiries call 020 7000 7999 (ext. #7999) and an officer will immediately be dispatched to assist you.

Wellbeing
Many people are feeling concerned at this time about COVID-19 and how it might affect their lives. Please discuss concerns with your manager who may be able to put practical measures in place to support you.
Please also be reminded that we have a fully-confidential counselling service via Workplace Wellness, our Employee Assistance Programme provider. Our code is ‘lbswell’:

In exceptional circumstances, for example if your department is busier now as a result of the Coronavirus, your manager may approve for you to carry over up to 5 days.

Business continuity planning
We will shortly circulate a survey for staff to tell us their current working arrangements, this will assist with our business continuity planning, please look out for the email.
