Nuffield Hall packed out for first School Meeting of the academic year

September saw the first School Meeting of the academic year, and Nuffield Hall at RCOG was full to capacity to celebrate the latest School highlights and hear progress reports from members of the School's Senior Management Team about the Pay Review, flexible working and key School Survey actions.

François kicked off the meeting by highlighting several oustanding recent achievements and exciting activities across Degree Education, Executive Education, Advancement, Marketing and Communications, Campus Services and IT,

Staff and faculty then heard from Interim HR Director Tracy Hough, who introduced the People Team and outlined its strategy and priorities for the coming year. Tracy then spoke about flexible working and the Pay Review before being joined on stage by Susie Balch, Associate Dean for Advancement, Helen Kerkentzes, Associate Dean for Executive Education and Professor Irem Tuna, Deputy Dean for Faculty – who between them outlined and discussed the six key focus areas from the survey:

  • Open and honest two-way communication
  • Career opportunities
  • Recognition for good work
  • Communication of LBS vision
  • Decision-making
  • Faculty and staff collaboration
