New media studio now open
The School's brand new Media Studio is now open and operational in room C102.
The Studio is to enable Media Services to deliver teaching and learning projects for Faculty, Programme Offices and Digital Learning.
It is designed to help enhance the School's digital teaching and learning solutions, by providing a high quality environment for our recording activities. It has been set up as a dedicated video and audio studio area, complete with green screen, studio lighting, sound-proofing and web broadcasting facilities.
Already in daily use, it has delivered projects including – audio podcasts for The Digital Transformations project, elective briefing videos, welcome message videos for Executive Education programmes, Global Business Consortium programme introduction videos, and linked to New York public radio for interviews with our faculty.
Senior Media Production Specialist, Stuart Barton said: "It’s great to reduce the 200 plus man hours per year we spent in moving our filming equipment around campus, now our equipment is set up and ready to go. It also removes the cost and time of going to commercial recording studios.”
Director of Digital Learning, Tansy Rothwell said “The on premises studio is extremely convenient and enables us to make a more professional product.”
The Media Studio is free of charge and bookings are being managed by the Media Services team. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with queries or to discuss your needs with the Media Services team.
