Makeover for Lisson Grove Canal

Ten LBS volunteers helped to spruce up the Lisson Grove Canal on 8 November as part of the School’s Lisson Green gardening project.

Devised by Mira Young and Cathy Youthed in 2016, the Lisson Green gardening projects aim to make an impact in the local area by improving the quality of the environment for residents.

The Lisson Grove Canal project, organized by Mira Young, included tidying up a garden along the canal and repainting the garden wall and railing. As the Lisson Grove Canal is the entrance to the Lisson Green Estate, the clean-up project makes an immediate and bright new impression for the residents. Local Estate Manager, Jatiner Rai said the residents were “really pleased with the outcome” and they thanked LBS for its dedication to the local area.

The team would like to thank all the volunteers who took part: Hayley Amphlett, Zaiba Badrudin, Marta Blicharz, Beth Cook, Rob Fenton, Kristina Mokrousoviene, Helen Paton, Michelle Timms and Cathy Youthed.
