LBS Professor comments on the struggle to find the next Governor of the Bank of England in the New York Times

Professor of Economics Richard Portes was featured in a recent article by the New York Times, in which he and other leading economists speculated over the future of the Bank of England and who will succeed LBS Honorary graduate Mark Carney as its next Governor.

The article, published on Sunday 29 September, discussed the challenges that the next Governor will have in tackling the fallout from Brexit and an unstable government, something which Professor Portes described as both "the rock and the hard place".
