Dan Cable's Alive at Work launches in the UK and USA
Daniel M Cable, Professor of Organisational Behaviour, has released his second book Alive at Work with a transatlantic double launch.
After an initial London launch at the MBA Programme's 50th Anniversary event, Alive at Work went on tour in the United States with launches in New York and Washington DC.
Professor Cable highlights that leaders need to unleash workers’ innate desire to learn if they are to effectively address the persistent issue of poor employee engagement. Cable argues that in the push to standardise working practices and establish clear-cut or SMART performance metrics, organisations are suppressing what neuroscientists call people's ‘seeking systems’.
