LBS MBA students shortlisted for entrepreneur prize
Taha Dar and Gil Razafinarivo, London Business School's MBA 2018 students, have been shortlisted as one of only 13 finalists in This is Money's Great British Entrepreneur Challenge for his Search Smartly app.
As a finalists they could win expert advice, mentoring and support from This is Money’s Andy Yates and his professional network. They also have the chance to bid for up to £50,000 of seed funding as part of the entrepreneur award.
After moving to London to study his MBA at LBS, Taha and his MBA classmate Gil Razafinarivo couldn't understand why it was so difficult to find the right property to rent. They were determined to simplify the process and streamline the time involved.
Taha and Gil set up SearchSmartly to help real estate agents become more efficient at helping rental property seekers find the best option more quickly and easily. The app uses clever technology to provide a smart property search, matching lifestyle preferences – from gyms to nightlife, from amenities to commuter distances – to find the ideal rental property.”
The This is Money team and successful entrepreneur and angel investor, Andy Yates, launched the Great British Entrepreneur Challenge in 2017. Their goal is to find innovative and determined entrepreneurs.
The competition shortlisted 13 finalists in January 2018 and the winner will be announced later this month.
