11 new Incubator businesses move into The House
Eleven start-ups awarded a place in this year's Incubator have moved into The House, where they will stay until the end of July next year.
Each business has been founded by an alumnus who has graduated from one of the School’s various programmes, representing an eclectic mix of busineses and operating across a range of sectors including the virtual reality space, insurance tech, recruitment, healthtech, online marketing, blockchain and an exciting new dining concept.
Aside from enjoying free dedicated space within the School’s start-up hub, each business commits to participating in a complete programme of nearly 50 sessions throughout the ten month incubation period. This includes workshops, 1-2-1 office hours, monthly group meetings and pitching events, all of which are designed to ensure that each business reaches its full potential between now and next summer.
Jane Khedair, Head of Entrepreneurship, Career Centre, who has developed and now manages the programme explains that the offering is much more than just space:
"The Incubator provides a full package of support worth over £2million each year that is made available by expert industry practitioners, covering areas such as legals, IP, accounting, and social media to provide the businesses with tools that are the envy of every start-up."
The new businesses will be formally welcomed at the Founders Award event on 9 November 2017.
To find out more about this year’s cohort and how you could get involved with any of its current 11 businesses, register for Meet the Businesses in the Incubator event that will take place the evening of Tuesday 21 November.
If you are graduating this year and have a business that would benefit from the School’s support, don't forget to diarise for the Incubator information session on Tuesday 20 February.
